With the creation of the Business Information Management (BIM) major in 2008, a group of students banded together in 2010 to establish Management Information Student Society, commonly known as MAISS. The group of BIM students hoped to create a tight-knit community to persevere through the difficulties of the newly-established curriculum. Since then, MAISS has grown to serve all students who share a passion for business and technology. We aspire to improve the quality of student life and ensure successful futures for our members by:

Strengthening the BIM and business community at UC Irvine through the MAISS Mentorship Program and Internship Program, which provides members with exceptional resources and opportunities for professional, academic, and social growth.
Representing BIM students by fostering relationships among fellow peers, faculty, and staff within the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences and The Paul Merage School of Business.
Most importantly, we are open to ALL MAJORS with interests in the growing business and technology field!

We are a vibrant, inclusive, and driven community that aspires to bring together passionate students from all facets of UCI and further growth and development through not just professional, but fun settings.

MAISS offers a very engaging mentorship and internship program year-round to foster professional development and leadership opportunities. Our diverse range of events also provide insight into the workforce ranging from software engineering, product management, consulting, marketing, UI/UX, and more. Bringing in guest speakers from Fortune 500 companies, you are able to gain insider information and receive specific answers to questions about potential career trajectories and opportunities. Besides our fantastic panel events, MAISS also offers professional development workshops to grow and solidify your foundation in technical skills. Our workshops range from learning Python, improving in SQL, polishing your interview skills, resume building, one on one coffee chats, and so much more!

Beyond our determination towards success, MAISS is also a fun community to make unforgettable memories. You will be able to create lifelong friendships with those who have aligned interests as you and embark on fun activities such as beach days, retreats, slime socials, and food adventures!
